SPAR® INDEPENDENTLY TESTED
SPAR® FILTER achieved a 99.989% reduction in the viability of the bacteria, and a 99.96% reduction of airborne S. aureus bacteria trapped by the filter in a large chamber.
S. aureus has been long recognized as one of the most important bacteria to control because it causes serious diseases in humans, such as staph infections, bloodstream infections, pneumonia, and bone and joint infections.

Graph below represents the bacteria test results.
SPAR® FILTER achieved a 99.79% reduction of airborne MS-2 inside a large chamber, and a 96.56 reduction in the viability of MS-2 trapped by the filter.
MS-2 is a surrogate of SARS-CoV-2 and one of the smallest genomes, making it very difficult to capture and deactivate.

The details of the aerobiology chamber have been published (Sattar et al., 2016). The chamber (30 m3) was built to comply with the guidelines from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
