Removes Fine Particulates: Oil, Tar, Carbon/Soot, and Ash
Rapidly Attracts & Absorbs Continuous Smoke in Enclosed Spaces
Lessens Affects of Wildfire Smoke Indoors
Wildire smoke travelled hundred of miles to San Francisco, turning the air brown. It is impossible to keep smoke from seeping into your home, and the microscopic particles are harmful to your lungs.
In summer 2021, wildfire smoke from Canada was found in Philadelphia and New York City; 3,000 miles from the fires.
The biggest health threat from smoke is from fine particles. These microscopic particles can penetrate deep into your lungs. They can cause a range of health problems, from burning eyes and a runny nose to aggravated chronic heart and lung diseases. Exposure to particle pollution is even linked to premature death.

The demonstration below uses two 20 cubic foot boxes. The box on the right is the control. The box on the left contains a 4 square inch SPAR® Filter. As smoke rapidly fills the boxes, the visibility on the right goes to zero. However, the smoke is absorbed after only a few minutes by
the SPAR® Filter in the left box. There are no fans on the left, just natural convection.
The demonstration below uses a 9m³ chamber, the approximate size the area in a Boeing 737 cockpit. The left chamber contains the SPAR® Filter, and the right chamber is the control. As smoke continually fills the chamber, the visibility of the instruments and out the windshield on the right declines quickly. Visuals are maintained in the chamber with SPAR®.
